London butcher Turner & George will join independent wine merchant The Corkman for an evening of live-fire cooking and wine tasting in Islington on 14 October.

Held in The Corkman’s hidden courtyard on St John Street, the event will feature prime cuts of beef and pork cooked over fire. Each will be accompanied by wines selected to complement the meat coming from the grill.

Representatives from Turner & George and The Corkman will lead the tasting, discussing the different cuts and accompanying wines in an informal setting.

A selection of Turner & George meat will also be available to purchase during the evening at discounted event prices.

The Wine & Meat Tasting takes place from 7.15pm until 9pm on Wednesday 14 October at The Corkman, 397 St John Street, London EC1V 4LD.

Tickets cost £70 per person and can be purchased through the Turner & George website.
