Foxhills launches afternoon tea served on illustrated bespoke crockery

Foxhills Club & Resort in Surrey will launch a new afternoon tea inspired by life across its estate on 29 October.

Served in The Manor, the experience uses bespoke crockery decorated with colourful illustrations of activities at Foxhills, including golf, racquets, swimming, art, food and time spent outdoors.

The artwork was created by Surrey-based artist Annabel Hocking, who is also part of the Foxhills team and leads creative activities and workshops at the resort. Originally trained in architecture, Hocking draws inspiration from gardens, nature and travel.

The illustrations continue across the accompanying menu, while the food itself remains rooted in traditional afternoon tea.

Sandwich fillings include smoked salmon with dill and lemon, egg and watercress, and ham and cheese with honey mustard. Plain and golden raisin scones will be served with strawberry jam and clotted cream.

The selection of cakes and pastries includes an orange and milk chocolate dome, treacle tart and blueberry cheesecake.

Afternoon tea will be served in the recently refurbished Manor Lounge and Bar, part of Foxhills’ central Manor building.

The experience launches on 29 October and costs £42 per person from Monday to Thursday and £45 per person from Friday to Sunday.

A festive version of the afternoon tea will follow from 23 November.
