A new speakeasy-style cocktail bar has opened beneath Jul’s restaurant in St James’s, promising unconventional drinks, late-night DJs and a daily early-evening cocktail offer.

Bar Eleven’s menu is built around experimental serves that push beyond familiar cocktail combinations. Among them is the Aguacate, which mixes The Botanist Gin and Noilly Prat with guacamole.

The Anassa takes its inspiration from savoury garden flavours, blending Hendrick’s Gin with mint, cucumber, bell pepper and chives.

There is also The Six-Minute Martini, a deliberately precise take on the classic that places temperature and controlled dilution at the centre of its preparation.

The drinks are served within a low-lit basement setting intended to take guests from post-work cocktails into the early hours. Resident DJs play from 10pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Bar Eleven also runs its One on One cocktail offer daily between 5pm and 7pm.
