East London seafood bistro Noisy Oyster is marking its first birthday on 18 July by turning the clock back four decades for a one-night-only celebration inspired by the gloriously indulgent flavours of the 1980s.
For one evening, the E1 restaurant will be serving a special menu that gives retro dinner party favourites a playful, premium makeover. Expect dishes including devilled eggs topped with Oscietra caviar, a classic prawn cocktail, and monkfish kiev, alongside a line-up of nostalgic cocktails and house-made jello shots.
The party atmosphere continues beyond the food, with an 80s DJ soundtrack, a live music interlude and a happy hour running from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, when selected cocktails will be available for £8.
Since opening last summer, Noisy Oyster has built a reputation for putting a fresh, irreverent spin on British seafood classics. Its birthday celebration looks set to follow suit, pairing a healthy dose of nostalgia with the restaurant’s signature sense of fun.
