Fatto a Mano has teamed up with artist David Shrigley and Brighton Table Tennis Club to create The Champion, a limited-edition pizza raising money for the community sports charity.
Available at all Fatto a Mano restaurants in London and Brighton for five weeks from 19 October 2026, the collaboration includes a specially designed takeaway box and a limited collection of merchandise featuring Shrigley’s distinctive artwork.
Rather than leaving the recipe to Fatto a Mano, members of Brighton Table Tennis Club were invited to submit ideas for their dream pizza. The restaurant developed a shortlist from the suggestions before club members and Shrigley joined its team for a tasting session to select the final combination.
The resulting pizza pairs stracciatella, figs, wild rocket pesto, mozzarella and aged balsamic red onions on Fatto a Mano’s Neapolitan-style dough, which is proved for at least 24 hours. Calabrian ’nduja can also be added for extra heat.
The collaboration draws together three names with strong connections to Brighton. Fatto a Mano was founded in the city in 2015 and has a longstanding relationship with Brighton Table Tennis Club, while Shrigley is a Brighton resident and established supporter of the charity.
Brighton Table Tennis Club uses sport to bring people together and create opportunities for those who might otherwise face barriers to participation, including refugees, young people in care and people with learning disabilities. It was the UK’s first Sports Club of Sanctuary and is home to the first person with Down’s syndrome to qualify as a coach in any sport.
To mark the launch on 19 October, The Champion was sold for £10, with all proceeds from the pizzas donated to the club. For the remainder of its five-week run, Fatto a Mano will donate £1 from every Champion pizza sold to the charity.
A limited collection of collaborative merchandise is also available, comprising tote bags priced at £15 and T-shirts at £25. All profits from merchandise sales will support Brighton Table Tennis Club’s community work.
The Champion, its David Shrigley-designed boxes and the accompanying merchandise are available across Fatto a Mano’s nine restaurants in Brighton and London. Merchandise can also be purchased through the Fatto a Mano website.
