Workshop Coffee partners with Rockwater on new South Coast coffee programme

London speciality coffee roaster Workshop Coffee has partnered with beachfront hospitality group Rockwater to overhaul the coffee offering across its South Coast venues.

Launching in November, Workshop will supply coffee to Rockwater’s existing sites in Hove and Branksome, followed by its forthcoming Sandbanks location in the new year.

The roaster will also provide new coffee equipment and train Rockwater staff in preparation techniques from bean to cup.

As part of the partnership, the two companies will develop a dedicated Rockwater house blend. This will be served across the venues and sold for home use as whole beans and coffee pods.

The wider drinks selection will include single-origin filter coffee, espresso, takeaway drinks, coffee cocktails and Workshop’s canned cold brew.

A range of co-branded tumblers and coffee canisters is also planned, while Rockwater members will be offered a Workshop coffee subscription.

The partnership will extend beyond the drinks menu through a year-round programme of coffee-led events for members and non-members.

“Coffee has always been an important part of the day at Rockwater, whether it’s after an early morning swim or a stop on a walk along the beach,” said Rockwater founder Luke Davis. “I’m particularly looking forward to developing our own Rockwater blend and exploring how we can bring the partnership to life through events.”

Founded in 2011, Workshop operates a café in Belgravia alongside its online retail and wholesale businesses. It currently supplies coffee to hospitality groups and venues including Claridge’s, The Langham, JKS Restaurants and Public House Group.
