Following four sell-out ‘Smash & Grab’ pop-ups, restaurateur Sam Harrison will make smash burgers a permanent fixture at Sam’s Kitchen Hammersmith from Thursday 19 September.
The event will now occur every week on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 8pm.
The eponymous Sam’s Cheeseburger has always been an integral part of the menu offering at Sam’s flagship restaurant, Sam’s Riverside, and a longstanding bestseller.
Knowing that the UK eats more than 2.5 billion burgers per year, Harrison saw an opportunity to take a bite out of the ever-growing market and set head chef Abbie the task of creating a smash burger like no other for the launch of Smash & Grab which ran between July and August this summer.
The Sam’s smash burger is a bespoke blend of ribcap, chuck and aged beef all sourced from West London butcher, HG Walter and combined with housemade pickles and Sam’s secret sauce.
Diners can choose from a cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger or a chorizo jam cheeseburger – always with the option to double up.
Sides of house fries with pickled shallots, crispy shallots, jalapenos and cheese, or even chorizo fries, are available as well as cocktails, house wins and the bespoke Sam’s lager.
