From May 11, executive pastry chef Cherish Finden has given afternoon tea at Pan Pacific’s Orchid Lounge a royal makeover, inspired by the wildflower Superbloom installation at the nearby Tower of London.

Alongside a glass of English sparkling wine with official partner, Gusbourne, the menu also features a selection of teas by The Rare Tea Company and a non-alcoholic bubbly option by French Bloom to pair with petit fours.

Housed inside The Orchid Lounge signature afternoon tea birdcage, The Superbloom Afternoon Tea features a plate of handmade bites in traditional British flavours, adorned with motifs of the Platinum Jubilee.

The experience begins with a selection of golden raisin and plain xcones served with Cornish clotted cream, homemade strawberry preserve and kaya jam alongside a selection of sandwiches, filled with coronation chicken on harissa bread; smoked salmon with mustard butter on brown bread and wafer cucumber with cream cheese on carraway bread.

The service also includes touches like a tea and biscuit flavoured amuse bouche, street party-inspired candy floss and a corgi dog Shortbread and a sachet of wildflower seeds, to plant at home.

Each guest also has the opportunity to scan a QR code for the chance to win exclusive experiences at Pan Pacific London.

Showcasing Cherish’s signature style, the top plate reflects the iconic London landmark and home of The Platinum Jubilee Superbloom installation in four delicate pastries including The Queen ‘honey’ Bee, with heather flower honey, chocolate sponge and pecan praline and The Wild Rose, an English rose macaroon, with strawberry and lime jelly.

Reservations can be made here.
