A new food and entertainment venue has opened under the historic railway arches of Albert Embankment, Vauxhall.

The 8,000 sq ft space, named Metropolis, features a line-up of global cuisines from street food vendors and an entertainment schedule, seven days a week.

Guests can visit from 11 am until late for dishes and drinks under the arches or out on Metropolis London’s alfresco terrace.

The interiors are heavy on exposed brick and pipework, pendant and neon lighting, and bespoke artwork depicting dynamic street food scenes by renowned graffiti artist Guneit Kaur Dhillon.

Food vendors include Fresco Trattoria Pizzeria, which tosses up a treat with fresh Neapolitan dough, and Kusina, serving up soul food with a Filipino twist.

Steak fans are catered for at O’Gosht; whilst it’s all about Uzbekistan dumplings at OshPaz; For sandwiches, head to the award-winning Sexy Buns.

At Chipsy, expect loaded fries and a smoked BBQ feast, while Birria Taco brings tacos and ramen with a twist. Sekushi, serves Japanese & Pan-Asian dishes and Gelato Lab will offer ice cream, or grab an ice cold mylk fruit tea from Nuttea to top it all off.

An entertainment arch features a central stage dedicated to live performances.

From bands to bingo, comedy to cabaret, LGBTQ+ friendly events and cooking master classes, there are event listings all year.

Behind the 15m bar, guests can expect happy hours, quirky signature cocktails offerings, as well as wine, and craft beers by the bottle and on tap.

Water comes from Pure Ionic Water™ – a natural hydrogen-rich alkaline mineral water.
