This weekend sees the return of the Cake & Bake show to London’s Earls Court. As usual the show is bursting with exhibitors, seminars and celebrity bakers all waiting to whet your appetite for baking. Visit the show from Friday 3rd October to Sunday 5th October and sample your way around the exhibition hall.
What’s there?
The show is a mix of celebrity baking demos, live bake offs, cake decorating, cake competitions, interactive features and skills classes, plus tasty treats, artisan produce and all of the latest baking kit you could wish to shop for.
Who will want to go?
Tasting Britain attended the show last year with a couple of baking-mad friends and thoroughly enjoyed the day. We caught a couple of the talks and classes and chatted with lots of the stall-holders about upcoming products and ventures.
Tips
- Take plenty of cash – some of the vendors take cards but not all of them and some of the little gems of stalls are the ones that are more independent and less likely to have this facility
- Book in early to all talks or classes – these get filled up mega quick, so have a look at your programme when you first get there and get yourself signed up. There’s also lots of info on the site to prepare before you go
- Wear comfortable shoes – the hall is big and there is LOTS to see and do!
- Take a tote bag – if you plan to do lots of shopping, it just makes life easier
Tickets
Tickets are £14.50 for adults and £7.00 for children. Family tickets are available for £38.50 and admit 2 adults and 2 children.
