The Sloaney Pony will reopen on Thursday 5 February with a new first-floor dining room, refreshed interiors and an expanded garden, alongside a renewed focus on food.

Fulham favourite The White Horse, affectionately known as The Sloaney Pony, is set to reopen on Thursday 5 February following a full refurbishment of the Victorian pub.

While long established as a popular drinking spot, food will now take a more central role. To mark the relaunch, the pub is offering a three-course set menu showcasing new signature dishes for £36 per person, available Monday to Friday from 9 February to 7 March.

A new first-floor dining space provides a calmer setting away from the main bar, aimed at long lunches, relaxed dinners and group celebrations. The menu focuses on elevated British pub classics made with seasonal ingredients. Starters include Beef Tartare with cured egg yolk and sourdough toast, King Prawn Cocktail, and Whipped Goat’s Cheese with beetroot carpaccio.

Mains range from Brick Chicken with lemon, garlic and chive butter sauce to Pan Roasted Fillet of Cod with Roscoff onion purée and artichoke and truffle pesto. A dedicated grill section features British and Irish steaks, including daily changing aged cuts and sharing steaks listed on the specials board.

Sundays remain traditional, with generous roasts including a 16oz Chateaubriand served with Yorkshire pudding, thyme-roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables and gravy.

The refurbishment refreshes the pub throughout while retaining its character. Upstairs, the all-day dining space combines classic panelling with warm lighting and rich red tones, alongside a new 12-seat private dining room named The Saddle Room.

Downstairs, the main bar remains the heart of the pub, now with an extended bar, additional seating and improved flow. The Coach House and terrace have also been updated to create a lighter, more flexible space for gatherings.

Outside, the front garden has been expanded into a larger, all-season destination, with additional covered seating, high-top tables around mature trees and a new outdoor bar serving craft beers.

Reopening seven days a week from 5 February, The White Horse returns as a local pub first and foremost — whether for a quick pint, dinner upstairs or a classic Sunday roast with friends.
