East Dulwich restaurant KOKUM will celebrate Diwali with a limited-edition sharing menu served from 3 to 8 November.
Priced at £45 per person, the menu brings together several of the restaurant’s established favourites with dishes created for the festival.
The feast begins with crispy spinach and kale chaat, paneer tikka angara, pani puri and achari chicken tikka.
These are followed by four curries for the table, including KOKUM’s butter chicken and dal makhani, accompanied by a selection of rice and Indian breads.
Dessert is mango and cardamom shrikhand, a thick and creamy yoghurt-based sweet flavoured with fruit and aromatic spice.
The restaurant has also created Nani’s Nightcap for the occasion. The boozy dessert cocktail combines vanilla ice cream, Baileys, vodka and vanilla with a homemade masala blend of Indian spices.
KOKUM was co-founded by Sanjay Gour, previously head chef at Michelin-starred Gymkhana in Mayfair.
The Diwali feasting menu will be available at KOKUM in East Dulwich from 3 to 8 November. Reservations can be made through the KOKUM website.
