Prince Arthur will open a new Chelsea restaurant and late-night music bar on 6 October, developing the Basque-inspired concept previously found at its Belgravia pub.
The new two-floor site will depart from the traditional pub format. Its ground-floor restaurant will seat up to 79 diners, with floor-to-ceiling arched windows and a central fireplace reflecting the live-fire cooking in the kitchen. A further 16 covers will be available outside.
Head chef Adam Iglesias, who previously led the kitchen at Prince Arthur Belgravia, will return to oversee the new menu. The former restaurant appeared in the Michelin Guide for two consecutive years.
The seasonal menu will continue to draw on Basque cooking techniques, with meat and seafood prepared over a wood-fired grill. Guests will be able to select whole fish from a seafood counter, while meat and fish will be dry-aged on site.
Several of Prince Arthur’s best-known dishes will return, including sea urchins, txuleta, carabineros, whole turbot and lobster rice. The wine list will focus particularly on Spanish and French producers, while Guinness will be poured using the specialist system previously installed at the Belgravia pub.
Upstairs, the Chelsea Music Bar will take inspiration from Tokyo’s late-night listening bars. The intimate space will combine a vinyl-led music programme and live performances with cocktails, a long bar and low-level seating.
Founder Artur Voloshin said the Chelsea opening should not be seen simply as a relocation, but as a further development of the Prince Arthur concept.
“Our customers can expect the same quality of dining, if not better, in an updated form of Prince Arthur’s brand, with some exciting new additions and a tweaked concept,” he said.
Prince Arthur Chelsea opens on 6 October 2026.
