Angela Hartnett will throw a spotlight on Cafe Murano this winter, with the return of Pasta Fridays, the launch of regional supper clubs at Covent Garden, and the return of some noteworthy dishes.

Winter Dishes

Heading into the colder months, the autumn and winter menus across all Cafe Murano locations celebrate the hyper-regional and distinct flavours of Italy. Rooted in Emilio-Romagna, new and returning Cichcetti include hand-rolled and fried Arancini, served with a black truffle mayonnaise, alongside Roasted Italian peppers with pickled chilli and basil.

Pumpkin season is showcased with Roasted Delica squash, pumpkin seeds, and treviso and the much-loved Prince Pumpkin tortelli with sage butter; whilst Tagliatelle, beef shin and crispy shallots and Hake, Umbrian lentils, pancetta and parsley are hearty winter additions to the á la carte menu. A shorter Menu del giorno, priced at £25 for two courses or £30 for three, is on offer for those compromised on time across all locations, with a roster of rotating specials.

Pasta Fridays

Beginning this November, Pasta Fridays will be celebrated across all Cafe Murano locations, introducing sharing-style portions of pasta specials for £25 per person for larger group tables. Inspired by the late Russell Norman of Brutto, a close friend of Angela’s, each week, Angela will present a different dish designed for sharing, creating a convivial space to enjoy good food, wine and conversation.

The rotating menu will feature Angela’s classic Lasagne, Spaghetti Carbonara inspired by many trips to Rome, Angela’s beef-filled Anolini – her ‘Last Supper’ dish – and a simple but much-loved Linguini with clams, served tableside in larger portions. Priced at £25 per person, a glass of Angela Hartnett wine is included with the menu, available at dinner.

Regional Supper Clubs

Angela’s Regional Supper Club will return in January 2025 with a Lombardia-themed evening. Bi-monthly, the supper clubs will be ticketed, including a four-course dinner inspired by differing Italian provinces. Starting with a selection of antipasti, a flavourful pasta course, a main course, and a dessert, all courses will be designed to share and served alongside paired wines from the region.

Regional Supper Club Dates

17th January – Lombardia

21st March – Emilia Romagna
