Appeals to:
Those who like fruit cider and are already drinkers of the bottle variety – perhaps looking to mix things up with the frozen pouch. I think a younger crowd could also be attracted to the somewhat novel element of frozen cider.

In a nutshell:
Playing by the rules, I left my pouch in the freezer for the indicated eight hours. As a personal taste I prefer tarter ciders; ones with some bite, so I was intrigued to what sort of taste sensation awaited me. As directed I squeezed the entire packet into a glass and to ate it with a spoon, mainly due to my household lacking in straws.
I was pleasantly surprised; a sweet beginning gave way to an alcoholic kick – a booze filled sorbet is the best description I can muster.
Personally, I ate mine as a pre-dinner snack. [Ed: strong]
The Good:
It’s reasonably priced, tasty and wonderfully refreshing. There is something novel about it – almost naughty – like I had sneaked alcohol into a dessert I shouldn’t have.
The Bad:
It’s a purchase that require planning…with the whole eight hours freezing and all that. I think it could be quite seasonal, I can’t imagine craving a frozen cider in the depths of the British winter.
The Verdict:
It’s perfect for a sunny day. Even if you’re not the fruity drinking cider sort I recommend you give it a go. Pre-plan, freeze and bask in the refreshing alcoholic joy of the pouch.
