Tasting Britain - For Goodness Shakes Review-0001

What are ‘For Goodness Shakes’?

A popular brand of protein energy supplements, pretty big in the fitness industry and can be found in most high street supermarkets and health food stores.
In this case we are talking about their new refreshing blend of coconut water and spring water, boosted with 10g Whey Protein Isolate. It comes in two refreshing flavours, Tropical and Orange & Mango.

The Good

Pro: 25g of protein per shake – on a 1:1 ratio with carbs. No fat.

Well balanced, on the go supplemental drink. They’ve combined Protein with Coconut water to help hydrate & recover at the same time, all in a delicious, low calorie drink.

It’s summertime and I’m really appreciating a tasty replenishing drink in between my day to day schedule. Both are cloudy and and feel slightly more dense than your average coconut water due to the protein, which I did like.

The Mango & Orange flavour is certainly the sweeter of the two, I’m not a huge fan of overly sweet drinks but in this case I did prefer it. The Tropical flavour is almost as good, with a more distinct taste of lemon. So if you like lemonade then this is the one for you.

The Bad

I guess the price is the only bad thing about it, not that I’d really call it a bad thing though as I don’t see this as something to rely on daily. Maybe a few times throughout the week, so a pack of 6 could last for 2 weeks, give or take. Anything more and you’d probably be spending an unnecessary amount, and you’d probably get bored of them quite quickly.

So keep them fresh and ration them!

Conclusion:

They’re enjoyable, they kept me going for an hour without any cravings, and they’re worth trying! If you’re a health conscious one willing to pay for the convenience, these could be worth a try…
