Recipe – ‘Black Ginger Royale’

This is modified from the King’s Ginger‘s very own ‘Ginger Royale’ recipe . We wanted a celebratory drink that would also take the edge off of the recent, oppressive UK heatwave. We managed to come up with something that didn’t deviate too far from the formula – and everybody we’ve tried it on agrees that it is both boozy and refreshing (a winning combination. Bi winning)

Lanson‘s Black Label is a Brut champagne, which means that when mixing it you often need something a little sweeter to cut through it’s dryness – which is where the King’s Ginger comes in (it also makes it stronger, at 40% ABV). You could probably substitute out your favourite Brut sparkling wine for similar results, but make sure it’s a pretty dry one, or lower the ratio of King’s Ginger a little…
