Ahead of the next episode drop of Stranger Things on December 26, Netflix has teamed up with Sessions to launch Hawkins Diner, a delivery-only comfort food concept inspired by the cult series. The menu is now live nationwide on Deliveroo, operating from 150 locations across the UK, including London, Manchester, Bristol, Reading, Plymouth and Kent.
Designed as a dose of pure 1980s nostalgia with a Stranger Things twist, Hawkins Diner brings the world of Hawkins, Indiana, straight to front doors, just in time for festive sofa viewing and Boxing Day binges. Orders arrive in retro diner-style packaging, with a menu built around American comfort food dialled up with playful, off-kilter flourishes.
Dishes include the Upside Down Stack, featuring smashed beef patties, cheese, pickles, mustard and ketchup sandwiched between fluffy pancakes, and Hellfire Tots, golden potato tots loaded with jalapeños, onions and fiery Hawkins sauces. There’s also a Peanut Butter Jelly chicken burger and tenders, leaning into sweet-savoury excess, alongside desserts such as banana pudding layered with cream and Biscoff crumb.
Jordan Moore, executive development chef at Sessions, said: “When creating the Hawkins Diner menu, we wanted to capture the nostalgia of a classic 1980s American diner but with a Stranger Things twist. That’s what we call Strange Comfort, iconic comfort dishes made just a little stranger. Think a PB&J chicken burger where creamy peanut butter collides with sweet and spicy chilli jam, or the Upside Down Stack, swapping a bun for pancakes. For dessert, our Biscoff banana pudding is banoffee pie’s all-American cousin.”
The launch coincides with the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which is rolling out across three release dates: Volume 1 on November 27, Volume 2 on December 26, and the finale on January 1, with each volume dropping at 1 am GMT.
Hawkins Diner is available to order now via Deliveroo from participating Sessions kitchens nationwide, offering fans a deliberately indulgent way to eat their way through the final chapter of one of Netflix’s biggest series.
