As the weather starts getting warmer, this recipe is simple and quick to cook and tastes so light and fresh – perfect for the light spring evenings. Using a Knorr flavour pot as, this recipe uses less than ten ingredients to deliver a punchy Italian flavour hit.

Pasta Napolitana

This delicious, yet simple pasta dish is brought to life using a KNORR® Mixed Herb Flavour Pot. When combined with garlic, shallots and tomato, it creates a mouth-watering midweek feast.

Ingredients
  1. 300g penne pasta
  2. 2 tablespoons oil
  3. 2 shallots, diced
  4. 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  5. 500g cherry tomatoes, halved
  6. 2-3 tablespoons tomato puree
  7. 1 KNORR® Mixed Herb Flavour pot
  8. 100ml water
  9. 25g freshly grated Parmesan cheese/or Parmesan curls
Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta according to pack directions.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the oil and gently cook the shallot and garlic for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  3. Add the cherry tomatoes, tomato purée, Knorr® Mixed Herb Flavour Pot and water.
  4. Bring to the boil, cover then simmer for 15 minutes until the tomatoes are soft and you have a sauce. Season to taste.
  5. Drain the pasta and add to the tomato sauce.
  6. Serve with parmesan to garnish
Notes
  1. You can use a Knorr Garlic Flavour Pot instead of cloves of garlic
