St Patrick’s Day menu at Allegra London

Irish chef Patrick Powell (L’Ecrivain, Wild Honey, Chiltern Firehouse)  is hosting two St Patrick’s Day dinners at his restaurant Allegra in Stratford. 

The special menu is on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th March. 

Dishes in the 7-course  meal include fried crubeens (deep-fried braised pig’s trotters & mustard), Leite faói chupoig (porridge grilled over peat with smoked mackerel broth), Boiled ham, cabbage, blood pudding, white sauce & colcannon and Carrageen Moss pudding with apple. 

Alongside Patrick, head bartender Serge Ventrella has compiled a cocktail list to accompany the two evenings, with drinks ranging from Shamrock Shakes, Jameson Irish whiskey, Crème de Cacao White, mint-infused double cream, mint extract, and Irish Tea, espresso, black tea, Jameson Irish whiskey, butter syrup, Irish soda bread infused double cream. 

Diners can also try a Purple Velvet, Guinness, Champagne and Jameson reduction with blackberry and rhubarb. A traditional Irish band will provide entertainment.

Bookings for Lá Fhéile Pádraig at Allegra are now live, priced at £68 per person, with reservations available both evenings from 6pm.
