With its rich history of sailing and the third natural deepest harbour in the world, Falmouth in Cornwall is home to many a swashbuckling pirate! Since their opening last year, The Brig, Falmouth have created a secret cellar bar that feels just like the boughs of an old pirate ship, and has almost every rum we can imagine.
With over 50 different cocktails to choose from, there is also a range of barbecue food, which is having a seasonal revamp. Watch this space for review coming up soon…
When Jack came on his foodie tour of Cornwall last summer, we hopped in for some cocktails, of which Jack chose a smoky number, reminiscent of gunpowder and I had a classic, delicious mojito. Even the cocktail menus are in theme and apparently so popular that they have to be carefully looked after to avoid piracy!!
With its menu polished, The Brig have opened up Social Dining Network evenings, which they have found to be very successful. One such evening will be going ahead next week on the 23rd of March, with some delicious new rums and a celebration of Cornish meat.
