COYA City knows how to throw a party—and with Río Pisco Fridays, the sleek Latin American restaurant-bar brings colour, rhythm and top-tier cocktails to the heart of London’s financial district. From 5pm to 9pm each Friday, the Pisco Bar transforms into a high-energy oasis of Peruvian flavour, live DJ sets, and free-flowing drinks—all for £60 per person. Named after the Río Pisco in Peru’s Ica region, the birthplace of its iconic spirit, this new ritual is equal parts laid-back and luxurious.

The Ambience
COYA’s interiors are as vibrant as the evening itself. Each Friday, the restaurant takes on a new energy; dimly lit, rich in golden tones, and pulsing with the beat of COYA Music DJs. The Pisco Bar, inspired by Lima’s oldest drinking dens, sets the tone for a night that’s social and spirited. It’s an ideal post-work hangout; glamorous enough to feel like a treat, but casual enough to kick back, and let the week’s worries be washed away… notably by this new bottomless offer. The bar team are a real highlight: genuinely friendly and full of knowledge about the pisco infusions behind every drink. Whether you’re unsure what to order or curious about the process, they’re more than happy to talk you through it.

The Food

The bar snacks included as part of the experience are Peruvian-inspired, punchy and beautifully executed. The Wagyu bao are small but mighty: soft, steamed buns packed to bursting with shredded wagyu beef, slow-cooked until the meat is tender and dripping with flavour. They’re rich, savoury, and hard not to devour in a single bite.

The salmon tacos offer something brighter—crisp shells filled with fresh, lime-dressed diced salmon, topped with chilli and coriander for a bright sparky bite filled with textural contrast. The Tacos del Día arrive piled high and complemented with a zesty guacamole made tableside, scattered with herbs and singing with citrus.

We can’t resist ordering the Ajo Chicken on the side. The juicy, charred thighs marinated in a lime-forward, garlicky rub hits every note: salty, smoky, addictive Drawing on Peruvian pollo a la brasa traditions, it’s an unassuming star of the menu, and one we’d come back for on its own.

The Drinks
This is where Río Pisco truly shines. For 90 minutes, guests are welcome to explore the full Río Pisco cocktail menu—or stick to Champagne, wine, or beer. The cocktails celebrate house-infused piscos blended with fruits and botanicals, each one balanced and intriguing. It’s rare to find a bottomless offering that gives such freedom of choice, and rarer still for it to be executed this well.

The Verdict
Río Pisco Fridays offer more than just after-work drinks—they deliver a slice of Peruvian joy in the middle of the City. With quality cocktails, punchy bites and proper music, it’s a brilliant way to slide into the weekend. Bring colleagues, bring friends—just come thirsty.
