Quill, Borough Yards and Fables and Company have launched a new activity for those seeking to set positive intentions for 2025.

At £20 per person, participants will be given a wax sealed letter-writing kit, which they can use to write a letter to their future selves. This also includes a drink and the special letter that will be posted to the participant a year from the date of creation, serving as a reminder of important goals and aspirations.

Starting January 27, the gathering will take place on the last Monday of every month and can offer customers an inspiring way to create a clear direction for 2025.

Quill is also offering 15% off on Sundays and Mondays throughout January for newsletter subscribers. Book a table on a Sunday or Monday, show the Quill newsletter to staff and enjoy 15% off the bill.

Other events include Secret Notes in 2025: Resuming for 2025 on January 7, every Tuesday at Plume & Quill, customers can send a Secret Note to a stranger, sparking new and fun connections to see what unfolds. This sell-out night, which began in Plume in Covent Garden, is now returning to both locations. Booking is recommended as these nights fill up fast.

Secret Poet Nights is also on every Monday and Wednesday evening from January 8, where Quill invites customers to receive a personalised poem from poet-in-residence, Luke Erasmus.

Andrew Gray, Founder of Fables and Company, said: “Quill is all about creating spaces where wine and words collide to make magic happen. We’re thrilled to kick off the New Year with experiences that inspire reflection and connection.

“Join us in Borough Yards or Covent Garden and make the most of these unique events. Guests can simply enjoy the wine bar as they normally would, without any obligation to participate in the activities. These options are available for those who wish to take part, offering a more relaxed experience that complements the atmosphere without dominating the entire bar—not so much an ‘event,’ but an enjoyable addition.”
