Well, now you can!

What’s This Then?

A partnership between Young’s Pubs and Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby. In nutshell, Wooden Spoon help disadvantaged and disabled young people, and Youngs are raising money to help them do this.

How? In the form of a three course meal and the chance to hang out with some of the big names in rugby. By ‘hanging out’ I mean said rugby player will pull you a pint and also play host to an up-close-and-personal Q&A where you can ask them all sorts of stuff (oh exploitable!). As for who exactly, think Phil Vickery MBE, former England hooker Lee Mears, Andy Gomarsall MBE and Tim Stimpson (etc.)

ALL HAIL LEE MEARS

And you also get a free pint of Youngs Bitter plus some tea and coffee if so inclined. And a bucket of beers courtesy of Heineken. It is, essentially, a limitless supply of Heineken.

The whole thing feels a bit like a toned down wedding or some kind of extended family social function in which a famous sportsperson has just shown up.

And it’s all happening for a very good cause indeed!

When And Where Is It?

It takes place at a variety of Youngs Pubs, over various dates. To see a complete listing of timings and locations have a look here

How Much Is It?

£35 per person

Who’s It Suited To?

Rugby fans, rugby diehards, rugby players, and the people who love them. Also charitably minded chaps and chapettes.

Also people who love hanging out at Youngs/their local Youngs and who want to support its charitable activities.

Anyone who likes to chat shit with professional athletes (or former professional athletes). Anyone who likes limitless Heineken.
