Miznon, the Tel Aviv-born pita spot, opens the doors to its new “kiosk” in Notting Hill.
The new location on the corner of Elgin Crescent will focus on the “eat with your hands” ethos of founder and chef Eyal Shani.
The Notting Hill site will offer London exclusive pitas – fish and chip, cottage pie and all day English breakfast pita – but a new pita is also under development, inspired by Shani’s love for his new London neighbourhood.
He said: “When we first launched Miznon in Soho, it was inspired by English cuisine, fused with the Mediterranean pita experience. After opening four months ago, I found myself further inspired by London, its people and its neighbourhoods. Each – a fountain of inspiration, so different from one another. And now Notting Hill, with its mysterious streets and eccentric people, there are no two ingredients more seductive or attractive than that to create new pitas for the world.”
Miznon, meaning Kiosk in Hebrew, first opened in Tel Aviv in 2011 and has since expanded to 6 cities with Notting Hill the latest addition to the London roster. The new site – seating 40 covers inside and 20 covers outside on the terrace – will carry forth the rustic design features of ornate tiles, and signature dark green that has become recognisable of the restaurant’s global personality.
Miznon is open seven days a week from midday – 11pm (10pm on Sunday) and is located at 14 Elgin Crescent, W11 2HX. Take away will be available at launch.
