Mildreds, a powerhouse of plant-based dining with six restaurants across London, is welcoming the warmer months with a fresh, seasonal menu that champions the vibrancy of vegetables with international flair.
From zesty salads to bold sharing plates, each dish highlights the best of spring and summer produce. The new offerings are designed to appeal to long-time plant-based diners as well as those looking to explore flavourful meat-free options.
Central to the launch is the new Taste of Mildreds menu, a selection of eight small plates served family-style for two or more diners. Priced at £25 for lunch, the lineup draws on global culinary traditions. Highlights include Red Pepper Romesco, a Catalan-style dip with roasted peppers, tomatoes and almonds; Kimchi Gyoza with a sweet-smoky gochugaru sesame dip; Kiri Hodi, a Sri Lankan coconut curry served with sweet potato and green bean pilau; and Charred Aubergine Bharta, topped with masala aubergines.
Lighter options feature seasonal salads such as the Diosa Verde, combining peas, sugar snaps, broccoli and sweet potatoes in an avocado-lime dressing with candied jalapeños and pine nut pepitas. The Beet Carrot Sesame Soba blends buckwheat noodles with beetroot, cherry tomatoes, Thai basil and pomegranate, dressed in a miso-ginger vinaigrette and sesame furikake.
For heartier appetites, mains include the souvlaki and meze, featuring charred oyster mushrooms and cabbage kebabs with sour cherry harissa, pomegranate quinoa, tzatziki and tahini cream. The salsa verde burrito, filled with chorizo red rice and topped with tomatillo sauce, is served with nopalito lime slaw, garlic cream and pico de gallo.
Desserts continue the indulgence, with the five-layer chocolate on chocolate on chocolate offering a ganache mousse cake served with chocolate ice cream, malt crumbs and a warm chocolate sauce.
To accompany the new menu, Mildreds is also serving seasonal cocktails and mocktails such as the Lychee Rose Martini made with house gin, lychee, rose and citrus, and the Jalapeño Cucumber Margarita with jalapeño-infused El Tequileno blanco, cucumber liqueur and citrus.
