This November, Lyaness, the award-winning bar by Ryan Chetiyawardana (aka Mr Lyan) – which recently was the only bar globally to have been awarded the coveted three-PIN status by The Pinnacle Guide – will host an exclusive takeover with The American Bar at Gleneagles, the cocktail bar at one of Scotland’s most iconic hotels.

The takeover will be hosted in partnership with Scottish whisky brand The Macallan to mark its 200th anniversary.

Taking place over two weeks from 3 to 17 November, the collaboration will bring together two of Scotland’s world-renowned institutions under one roof at Mr Lyan’s flagship London bar in a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and heritage.

Kicking things off with a special Sunday Lyan event on 3 November, the Lyaness team will be joined by Michele Mariotti and River Wood of The American Bar at Gleneagles to showcase four cocktails from their award-winning Book of Berries menu.

Awarded Best Cocktail Menu at The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023, the menu is a homage to the botanicals found on the surrounding Perthshire Hills and is made with ingredients from Gleneagles’ own ecosystem.

From 4 to 17 November, guests can enjoy a limited-edition menu created by Lyaness featuring three The Macallan cocktails, each shaped around a red theme in honour of Alexander Reid, founder of The Macallan, and whose surname of Scottish origin translates to ‘red’.

The exclusive serves will include:

Scarlet Wine

The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, Elderberry ATOM, Braai wood ash, flock bitters

Ruby Highball

The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, Clay ‘paint’, port and oolong kombucha

Fairy Sour

The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, Rowanberry changeling, citrus
