Four years after its debut in Chelsea’s Park Walk, modern Asian restaurant HUŎ is set to open a second location in London—this time in Belsize Village. Launching in July 2025, the new opening sees restaurateurs Graham Rebak and Adam Wilkie continue their expansion while staying true to the elegant simplicity and pan-Asian heritage of their flagship site and sister restaurants ULI in Notting Hill and Marylebone.

At the helm is head chef Yam Gurung, whose menu brings together carefully selected dishes from across China and Southeast Asia, each cooked from scratch using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malaysian and Singaporean techniques. Small plates include handmade dim sum, Thai lobster crackers, soft shell crab and a duo of classic soups—wonton and Tom Yum—while larger dishes range from steamed Thai sea bass with chilli and lemongrass, to triple-cooked Dover sole with asparagus, garlic and chilli.

Carnivorous staples such as crispy shredded chilli beef and spice minced pork with green beans will sit alongside lighter options including duck with watermelon and cashew, and a miso aubergine noodle salad. For those craving heat, the Szechuan chilli prawns promise a powerful kick. A dedicated delivery service will also operate within a one-mile radius of the restaurant.

HUŎ Belsize Village has been designed in partnership with Jonathan Clark Architects, known for their intelligent and collaborative approach. The new space will reflect the natural colour palette familiar to patrons of its Chelsea and Notting Hill counterparts, reimagined with local character in mind.

A whitewashed wood lattice wraps the interior, inset with earthy-toned panels and brought to life with rattan lighting, lime-washed flooring, and vibrant banquettes. Works by Asian artists will be displayed throughout, offering diners a visual journey to match the culinary one.

The layout comprises a front bar area—with seating for up to eight and a menu of Asian-inspired cocktails and curated Japanese whiskies—alongside four casual booths. The main dining room at the rear can host 86 guests, while a private downstairs room, complete with a bar provides space for up to 18. Outside, a 16-seat terrace will offer al fresco dining throughout the warmer months.

Rebak and Wilkie describe HUŎ as “a restaurant with comfort, taste and community at its core.” With a flexible menu, curated drinks, and considered design, the new Belsize Village site looks set to continue that mission in North London.
