Wednesday 22 October marks National Nut Day, an invitation to the nation to enjoy a nut filled day – by incorporating nuts into your meal plan – and spreading the word about the delicious taste and numerous health benefits associated with nuts, with a special focus on Fairtrade nuts. National Nut Day UK is organised by Liberation Foods, the farmer owned Fairtrade nut company that has pioneered Fairtrade nuts. This year’s theme is Putting Nuts Back on the Menu and we’ve teamed up with a number of celebrity chefs including:Antony Worrall Thompson, Allegra McEvedy, Phil Vickery and Vicky Bhogal who have each created a nutty dish to inspire us to go nuts in the kitchen and get cooking.
