Stratford restaurant Allegra is launching new dishes to coincide with the reopening of its extensive 11,290 sq ft wraparound terrace and garden this month.

Head chef Patrick Powell aims to showcase the best of the spring produce alongside views across the city from the notable location in Manhattan LoftGardens.

Dishes to look forward to include market oysters with bloody mary granite & pickled celery, Cornish pollock ceviche, tomato,
leche de tigre and preserved lime, fried chicken, mustard fruit, aioli and pickles and clotted cream and strawberry ice cream sandwiches.

In addition to these, fresh from the terrace’s wood-burning grill (fired up for weekend lunches) will be grilled potato bread, smoked mussels & seaweed butter, grilled peppers with sheep’s milk ricotta, lemon and thyme and aged pork chop with peas à la française and smoked bone marrow.

Allegra’s bar team will be revising its drinks list in line with these new dishes.

New cocktails including My Tai, a mix of rum and Arrack with sunflower seeds, homemade orange liqueur and lemon verbena and Citrus Spritz with Pampelle, home-made citrus cordial, Prosecco and grapefruit soda and Green Spritz, which mixes apple and celery with Prosecco and spicy notes of ginger ale.

The terrace at Allegra will be open from 4pm Wednesday and Thursday and 12pm Friday to Sunday (with live music on Sundays) from Wednesday April 27.
