Executive chef Eran Tibi is bringing dishes from his appearance on the 20th anniversary season of Great British Menu to his Soho restaurant, Kapara, for a one-night-only supper club on Thursday, May 1 at 7pm.
Guests will be served a six-course tasting menu inspired by Tibi’s ‘Great Britons’ menu from the London and South-East heats, with dishes themed around historical British figures and cultural icons.
Highlights include “An Ode to the Wilding Women” – a vegan watermelon dish inspired by suffragette Emily Davison, “Self, Unchartered Waters” – a trout dish paying tribute to UK trans pioneers Roberta Cowell and Michael Dillon, and “Nan’s Meshugana” – a chicken broth main course dedicated to Amy Winehouse. Dessert, “The Queen of Punk”, is a nod to Vivienne Westwood, featuring a white chocolate pistachio cheesecake with a black tahini cookie base.
The event will take place in Kapara’s private dining space, with counter seating available for a more interactive experience. The supper club is priced at £90 per person, with an optional wine pairing available.
Four of Tibi’s dishes from the show are also currently available on the restaurant’s à la carte menu.
