The Delaunay Counter, the Café and Bar specialising in classic European Alpine dishes in Covent Garden, has announced its celebrations for Oktoberfest this September.
From Thursday 19 September to Sunday 6 October, The Delaunay Counter, situated adjacent to the main restaurant and all-day restaurant, The Delaunay, will embrace Bavarian culture as the space transforms in honour of the annual Munich-based festival.
Guests will feast on a special Oktoberfest menu accompanied by a live Bavarian-style band where staff will don lederhosen and dirndls during the festivities.
A ticketed beer tasting event accompanied by generous sharing platters and Pretzels will also take place during the two-week celebration.
The exclusive Oktoberfest menu running over across the duration will feature Bavarian bar snacks and treats such a beef, Käsekrainer or vegetarian hot dog with lyonnaise onions and mustard, a Sausage selection (beef frankfurter and Käsekrainer sausage) with sauerkraut and potato salad, pork knuckle with sauerkraut and semmelknödel and mushroom stroganoff with memmel noodles and gherkins.
The Delaunay Counter will also launch a Stiegl Bier Cart on the terrace which will be serving up takeaway pints, ideal for al fresco diners. For those seeking a sweet treat, The Counter will be laden with handmade pastries including Gingerbread necklaces and extra-long Apple Strudel to grab and go.
Throughout Oktoberfest, The Delaunay Counter will remain the perfect spot for a quick bite, leisurely meal or after-work drinks with an Alpine twist.
