A glossy food magazine bursting with great classic and modern recipes that can offer inspiration when baking for any occasion. Squires Kitchen Bake School Magazine is a fresh and friendly publication and should be a must-have for all baker’s libraries.
I am quite a big fan of cooking programmes, recipe books and food magazines, but try not to buy too many as you can soon rack up a hefty bill. But Bake School by Squires Kitchen is a great choice for those times when you want to allow yourself a little splurge and as it comes out just twice a year, it isn’t going to break the bank either.
The magazine is bursting full of fresh ideas and recipes, as well as hints and tips from the expert tutors at Squires Kitchen International School as well as other well-known industry figures.
The Autumn/Winter issue (issue 6) shares some great classic recipes – all with modern twists and surprises, try the fondant fancy cupcakes for your afternoon tea, toffee apple cupcakes for your trick or treaters or the apple curls and custard tart for a show-stopping dinner party dessert. Then get yourself in the mood for the festive season, the raspberry and chocolate pie pops would make fantastic snacks for a Christmas party, package up some white chocolate, fruit and nut biscotti (recipe by Mark Tilling) for a beautiful home-made Christmas present or get some inspiration for your Christmas table centre piece. There’s even recipes for those on special diets like gluten free or vegan!
Where to buy?
Issue 6 is on sale now for £5.99 and can be purchased from WHSmith, Sainsbury’s and selected independent shops nationwide. Alternatively you can buy current or back issues here.
